Primary gold zones defined at pouloubou Permit, central african republic

Toronto, Ontario – Nov 22, 2005, AXMIN Inc. (AXM-TSX Venture) is pleased to announce the results of a 7,338 metre rotary air blast ("RAB") drilling program on the Pouloubou licence located 150 km southeast of its Passendro Project discovery on the Bambari Permits, Central African Republic. The drilling program, designed to follow up on the extensive surface geochemical anomalies and alluvial stream workings, has defined a series of primary (hardrock) gold zones each with a potential strike length in excess of 1,000 metres and widths of 40-160 metres. Assays range up to 3.0 g/t Au over 5 metre composite intervals. These results, the rock types and the alteration closely resemble that found at the Passendro Project where AXMIN has already announced mineral resources comprising 1.072 million ounces (13.2 million tonnes grading 2.5 g/t Au) in the indicated category plus 1.109 million ounces (19.3 million tonnes grading 1.8 g/t Au) in the inferred category (see news release dated July 5, 2005).

A low-level helicopter-borne magnetic and radiometric survey is nearing completion, with the objective of providing essential and independent structural and rock-type definition of the targets, following which core and reverse circulation ("RC") drilling will commence during the first quarter of 2006.

AXMIN’s RAB drilling program was designed to obtain samples of the bedrock below the iron rich laterite which includes areas transported by wind or water action. The vertical drill holes, which are 10-20 metres deep on fences 200 metres apart, tested three areas previously identified by AXMIN’s regional and infill geochemical program that concluded in early 2005. This has provided deep geochemical samples that were assayed over 5 metre composite intervals and is an important precursor to the angled core and RC drilling scheduled.

Grengou-Loubou Prospects

A 3,000 metre northwest trending surface gold geochemistry anomaly (>50ppb Au) up to 1,000 metres wide over much of its length was tested by 13 fences of RAB drill holes spaced 20 metres apart on lines at typically 200 metre spacing. Four separate gold mineralised zones, each with a width of 40-160 metres, were defined with strike lengths of 400-600 metres and are open along strike beyond the limit of drilling. Individual zones defined within the 0.1 g/t Au contour contain numerous 5 metre intersections exceeding 0.5 g/t Au and ranging up to 3.0 g/t Au.

Kangou Prospect

This prospect located 2 km east of Grengou is defined by a 2,000 metre surface geochemical gold anomaly (>50ppb Au) that trends north-south. The anomaly was tested on four fences 200 metres apart defining a priority target 40-80 metres wide, at the 0.1 g/t Au contour, with many assays ranging from 0.5 to 2.3 g/t Au over the 5 metres.

Dr Jonathan Forster, Chief Executive Officer notes "The drilling at Pouloubou has confirmed that we have discovered a previously unrecognised gold-bearing greenstone belt with similar characteristics to our Bambari discovery and which we believe may host mineralised zones of similar potential."
